Good product with sufficient zinc protection. Nice minty taste/scent. Typical whiteness when applied but goes away when rubbed in a bit.

I stayed out too long and got sunburned. I've used sunburn relief products before, but besides a temporary cooling effect, they didn't really seem to do much, and I still peel after a couple days. But I put the Waxhead after sun salve on right after I showered, and it seemed to lessen the burn, and the effect seemed to last. I kept putting it on once or twice a day, and the peeling was significantly reduced. In short, it hydrated and healed my skin!

I was looking for a high quality aftersun lotion with clean ingredients. I noticed the raw organic shea butter, so decided to get it. I've used it three times after being on the boat all day, and it really makes my skin feel smooth and moisturized, without being too greasy. It doesn’t really have a scent either. I've even started using it as a foot cream, and it actually helped my cracked skin on my heels. So glad I found this!!

I've been suffering from cold sores for a few years that are triggered by the sun. This is the only product that has protected my lips completely! I like to vacation on sunny beaches a few times a year and I thought that I would have to stop or at least never see sun on my face again. I am forever grateful that this product exists! It goes on white but quickly melts to mostly clear and stays on for a long time even under water. I still apply frequently when I'm in the sun though just to be safe. The formula melts quite a bit in the applicator when it's in the heat so you can't use it like a usual twist up applicator but I love this so much that is the least of my worries! I just bought 6 of them so I have them everywhere and my vacations have never been more enjoyable. THANK YOU WAXHEAD!!!

My lips burn whenever I go to the beach. I tried the product because it has zinc and the pictures show it leaves a white barrier. It definitely left a white film on my lips but unfortunately my lips still burnt. I reapplied continuously. Very disappointing to have spent $25 on it.**UPDATE**My initial review was a 1 star. However after more thought I'm changing it to a 3. While my lips still burned it was much less than without the product.

This sun screen for the lips feel great, protects even while I'm sweating through a pickleball match, and is truly safe for our coral reefs. I won't buy products that contain reef damaging ingredients anymore - even if I won't be swimming near reefs - we just can't support any manufacturing that includes those chemicals that are harmful to the planet.
