Love these Units!
I own a few rental houses and these are perfect for just that. I recently built a home and I found that these were way more affordable than any other option out there. I installed them myself and it was super easy. Just insert and plug in. There is almost no noise they are very quiet. The size is slender so from the outside they still look nice. And they function fantastic. Better than a window unit and they heat and cool. These have a remote and rhey are Bluetooth , so they can be controlled from anywhere! That is one of the best features.

Good choice for me.
Replaced an old existing unit so, installation went as smooth as one would expect. The shipping company was great. They communicated a time and were punctual. The unit arrived with no damage and works as intended. It is much quieter than i expected so thats a bonus too.

There's good things and bad things, but overall good
So, I gave this 5 stars for one reason, it does what I wanted it to do. Lot of heat, and lots of AC. Control panel is easy, its quiet, so it got 5 stars. But there's several things I'd call "poor engineering" that I fixed after getting the unit. A couple in MY opinion could shorten the life of the unit. If you install the sleeve and outer louvers the way the instructions tell you to, the louvers are tightened from the inside and you cant remove the louver without pulling the whole heat pump out of the sleeve, and thats a 2 person job. So the louvers that are outside where hot or cold exhaust comes out, have no screen on it on the inside. So, wasps, yellow jackets, stink bugs etc can fly right in and make nests inside the unit, Not good. I think the reason they dont have a screen is what I already mentioned, you cant take the louvers off easy, so you cant clean the screen. I left my louvers a tiny bit loose by not totally tightening the 4 corner "keepers" from the inside, so I can lift the louver up and off. I am still looking for the exact screen large enough to not block exhaust, and small enough to keep bees out. Next, the sleeve has 2 drains, one left and one right. BUT, the heat pump itself sits in its own tray and that slides into the sleeve. The tray has a lip all the way around it, which fills up with water until it overflows and goes out the sleeve drain. But, when its full, you have a few components of the heat pump sitting in about an inch of water, copper tubes, aluminum fins, etc. I called the company, they said they have a temperature sensitive widget that if it gets near freezing, it opens a port to drain the water before it freezes so the components dont get frozen and damaged. What if you dont reach freezing? He didnt have an answer. I dont want things underwater or moldy water in there, so he said it was ok to drill holes in the pan. So I did, but why not drill holes at the factory and save the expense of the widget? On the inside of the unit, in the house, The directional louvers that spread the heat or cold are fixed, so no control over which direction the air flows. And lastly, when you have it going, like on heat, I set the temp for 69, it heats up our large country kitchen really fast, and goes into a sleep mode until the temp drops below 69, and then it comes back on. But there's no pilot light on the control panel, so when it goes into sleep mode, it looks as dead as if you had unplugged it. So if you have several people in the house, you really dont know if someone turned it off, or if its in sleep mode. So you have to push the on/off to find out. The inside problems you cant fix , but the outside problems are more important, and you can fix them. So there's my 2 cents worth!

Great buy
Works great, easy to install if you have some skill. It heat and cools a large size room. It's just like the ones in hotels. Will need to cut a hole in the wall and run some power to it. Zero problems so far.

Defective Out of the Box
Upon the recommendation of my A/C Technician, I ordered the Cooper Hunter 12000 BTU PTAC from Amazon. Been nothing but a nightmare. Hired the Tech and his assistant to unpackage , assemble Grill and insert unit into wall. Immediately upon turning the system on, it sounded like a jackhammer drilling concrete. Amazon has been no help. Always got to contact the seller. Asked for a replacement first, then a return. Keep being told I have to return at my expense. A 60- year old dealing with this is Nerve Racking. Cost to ship at my expense exceeds $200 . Why should I have to pay for a defective/damaged product. Why should I lose money?

Perfect for my 4 season sunroom.
Great unit. Quiet. It heats and cools quickly. My 4 season sunroom is 13 x19 with a 7ft ceiling. It is currently 29° F outside and a cozy 60° F in the sunroom. If I turn the temperature to 70°, you can sit in there with a t-shirt and be very comfortable. And it cools well during the warm weather. I took off one star because the remote doesn't work well. Aside from that, the unit is a great buy.
