Was pleasantly surprised that these were metal!
Haven't installed it yet, so time will tell if they work well for my application, but I was definitely surprised that they are some form of (probably powder coated) metal. That was awesome, the build quality is great. I just assumed given the price that they would be cheap plastic.

Exactly what I needed
This is exactly the USB port that I needed to complete the installation of a Pioneer AVIC-7200NEX stereo head unit.This unit is Apple Car Play and Android Auto ready via the two USB ports on the back of the unit- one port for each function.Using this outlet in the dash and two 3.3 foot USB male-to-male cables allows access to those separate USB ports and functions.

High Quality
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this product. It's well manufactured and molded. I included some pictures that may help someone even though the dimensions are included with the actual product description. Some measurements are CM while others are MM. I WILL BE ordering again from this seller.

Issues with Connectivity
I am using this as a panel mount to connect both an XR18 Mixer and a MIDI Interface to my laptop from my IEM rack. This device works fine for connecting the MIDI interface (both USB A) however when connecting the XR18 for ASIO (USB B), it is unable to be detected by my PC. I'm using USB C to A cables to connect to my laptop. According to class compliance, this shouldn't be a problem. I've isolated the problem to this coupler, and it seems to be unusable when connecting any USB B peripheral (I've tried other devices with lower data rates and swapped the cables). I will try to use a USB A to A cable (rare) to see if the A to C conversion is the issue, but it seems unlikely. Do not buy this coupler if you intend to connect anything via USB B.

Did not work for what I needed.
Description should have said this plug is for power supply only. Did not work for data transfer. Drilled a whole in my $8000 machine for nothing.
