Very Well built!
Impressed with the manufacturing, very well made-very solid, very sturdy, very robust. Doors work well, seal very well. Cast iron top is large enough for a 12 pan or dutch oven. Pictures are 12" pan and 10" dutch oven. Equally robust some heat retention will be good and designed in such a manner as to direct the heat outwardly when you're cooking. Cast grate is attached with screws. If they aren't stainless already I may replace them with stainless steel. I will use this while camping in my RV or for cooking on a cool night, or if the power is out or anytime a small meal is needed to be made outside. This a IDEAL for an emergency preparedness purchase if you need an efficient cooking devise. One of the reasons I bought this stove was because of the weight. Some of the others only weigh 10lbs. I think those would be less efficient and the materials not as robust.So... I did not buy this for back packing. You are not going 'back packing' with this, weighs way too much for that. Could you bring this along for a picnic? Sure, absolutely. Has a very nice bag to carry it in with two straps, and a Velcro sealed pouch for utensils. My scale says it weighs 17.5 lbs/7.94 kg. Imagine this oven and a dutch oven in a pack... nope. Now if your back packing with mules or pack horse ...maybe, but there are still better options. This is a stove made of steel, cast iron, stainless steel and refractory of some sort.

Nice for camping or power outages
I haven’t tried this thing yet, because I wanted it for camping or power outages. Even so, I feel comfortable using this when the need arises. It appears very sturdy & weighs more than other similar Rocket Stoves that I also checked out. I consider that a safety feature, as the extra weight should be more stable & not as likely to tip over. I also like the versatility of the types of fuel that can be used, with little effort. So, fuel sources should be easy to find, & easy to incorporate & use. Lastly it has a carrying case & is easy to store. I’m satisfied. Thank you very much.

Perfect for camping or an emergency!
Yeah. I have to use it outside but it’s like having a mini wood burning stove that fits in a really nice tote bag! This is great for emergency heating up what won’t fit on the grill also. Can use coals, wood, leaves, etc. It really does have a stone in the bottom to burn the wood and catch the ashes. And having the silver lift to hold let’s say a branch burning in place without worry is wonderful. Get something cause propane is too darn heavy to drag with you for every occasion! Besides the top is like a real burner on a gas stove so your pots/pans will sit perfectly without sliding off! Love this thing!

Its is well made.
I have not used this due to rainy weather and no dry wood. However the order came as described. It is well made and packaged well. Stay tuned, so far no regrets.

Great mid sized rocket stove with impressive heat
Did a quick heating test using the rocket stove. Started fire and let heat for 10 minutes before testing performance. Following the warm up, poured 1 liter of water into a large pot (covered) and put on lighted burner. Starting water temperature was 63 F, air temperature 53 F. Time to boiling was 7 minutes 29 seconds with an estimated consumption of ~200 grams of dry hickory sticks. I calculate this to mean the burner was generating 4500 BTU assuming 70% heat transfer to the water.Note, while easily portable, this stove is better suited for backyard or car camping, its too heavy to haul in a backpack. Also, very dry wood is essential for good performance.

Estufa muy eficiente
The media could not be loaded.

Almost perfect
Did lite on first try. Burns very hot. When I tried to measure temperature of the fire chamber using a infra-red thermometer, it gave "Hi" reading!! The only problem I have is, the outside also gets hot. After almost 45 minutes, the outside of the stove was reading 170F. Due to this, you need to set this up on a heat proof surface like ceramic tile or a cinder block. Can not just use it on a picnic table.
