will this support comic book paperbacks which aren't typically as sturdy as a regular book?

This was supremely flimsy. Honestly, a few thin comic books is about all it could handle without bending. It's useless for any other type of book.

They are in a rental of ours, so I don’t have the exact dimensions, but they are just like the ones in the public library. They are Exactly what I wanted!
