Small property "tractor" from ATV
Ran this on my 2005 Kawasaki BruteForce 750. Ran like a champ and plowed a 5 acre field (wouldn't recommend much more acreage as this took a while and several passes. I love the fact that it can apply down-pressure rather than just dropping by gravity - avoided having to stack weights on the disk frame. Would highly recommend adding a rear suspension brace if you have rear independent suspension - this will lock your A-Arms from left to right together and give you a stiffer ride. Without it, you may not get the discs off of the ground. ONLY COMPLAINT: The stinger (part that goes into the hitch receiver) is a little light-weight steel going into the main 3-point frame. The mount holes in the stinger that attach to the gusset elongated after several ups and downs. I had a local machine shop replace it with a solid steel stinger - no problems and cost me ~ $50.

Turned my Polaris Ranger into a multi purpose machine
I sold a small JD loader that was undersized for gravel road repair. Sections of the road are steep and erode during extreme events. I needed something with 4WD and bought a Polaris Ranger with hope of installing a 3 pt hitch to use with a scraper blade. Amazons price was very competitive. The same Kolpin hitch system was much more on other web sites. Other manufactured systems were almost double. My first package was damaged and there were parts missing from the box. Amazon was great! Their customer service people had a new unit to me within two days. All the parts were intact. Only hassle was returning the original package. No harm/no foul. Assembly was easy. Took maybe an hour to put the unit together. Instructions and exploded views were easy to understand. They even give you the wrench needed for the shoulder bolts. The wiring was a little more time consuming for me. It takes me a little longer to assess and decide the best route for the switch and power to the actuator. There aren’t any videos that I could find of someone wiring a 3 pt hitch on a Polaris Ranger. The battery is in the front and to do this professionally I needed to fish the wire behind the firewall, under the floor and along the frame to the rear of the Ranger. Even with the UTV male hitch receiver (which is intentionally longer) I still needed a hitch extension to avoid conflict with raising the 3 pt hitch into the rear bumper. Using a 2” hitch extension in combination with the shorter male hitch receiver, I found that was the perfect distance where it was close enough to the rear of the machine (so the wires would reach the actuator) but far enough where the hitch didn’t hit the rear bumper. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was I don’t like the switch. It’s made to fit the handle bars on an ATV. I suppose I could get creative and find a way to mount it so it looks good, however, for now I just left the cord long enough to hold it in my hand. Otherwise it has nice lift height, down pressure and sturdiness to drag my 5’ Woods scraper blade. I took it for a short test on the road and I couldn’t be happier. Between the Polaris having more power and the Kolpin Hitch System being a well constructed product, road repair should be a breeze. I admit, I was concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, however, after installing and using this weekend, I’m glad I made the investment. This turned my UTV into a multi purpose machine.
