Too inexpensive?
When a person enteres competitive shooting they soon learn that price tags on accessories goes way up. So when I viewed this inexpensive, plastic pistol rest I was skeptical because it didn’t cost enough. But I thought, buying on Amazon is safe because if it’s junk I can return it easy enough.A pistol rest for me must adjust vertically and horizontally, be stable and easy to adjust. This rest is all that in a lightweight design. I am using it to sight in red dot sights on various pistols and switch models and sizes often looking for that manic match up that just works. The rest held my full size CZ Shadow II well and made dialing in the Trijicon SRO a breeze. The Sig P365XL wasn’t quite so easy because if it’s diminutive size but that was more an issue of it’s small, short frame and my big fat hands but still, it allowed me to dial in very well just with less comfort. Not everything needs to break the bank to do the job, this product does it well and I paid less than $20.

Bought for using with LCP Max - works well with slight modification
As you'll see by my hands in the picture, I have a very weak frame. The reason I bought the LCP Max is so that I can carry it in my pocket everywhere I go. But as anyone who's shot it knows, it's got a very noticeable kick, especially if your biceps look like mine. I found that the way that works the best for me is as follows:1. Place a 10 lbs dumbbell at the center of the gun rest, instead of the rear movable surface. This makes it so that when you fire the LCP, the Pistolero stays fixed in place.2. Lean your shooting hand on the dumbbell, and lean your support hand on the table. You need to make sure you have enough space to hold the gun, and with such a small frame, that means that you need to raise the front shooting surface a little bit. I tried shooting with one hand, I got much less impressive results.3. I tried resting the edge of the barrel on the front surface, and then tried leaning the trigger guard on the front surface, I felt I had better results with resting the trigger guard.4. I also leaned my rear side against the wall to stabilize my body better both during aiming and during firing. The first two images show the position of the LCP, the dumbbell, my hands. The third image shows one of my better groups (it took me a while to figure out how to use the Pistolero correctly with this gun, so most of my groups are a lot less tight)The fourth image shows the laser dot from the Mantis Laser Academy .380 ACP pink rhino. With all of these pointers I indicated, dry firing always puts me on the center of target.A word about the target used: it's 3.5 yards away from me, and I am cheap so I keep placing tape over previous round holes to save on having to buy more targets.

Adequate Pistol Rest, A good value.
Bought this rest to check the sighting on several semi-autos. This rest was adequate for sighting-in. It is some kind of plastic or polymer. It is lite weight. So, it needs to be held down with your hands and/or sandbags. The adjustments are very good. There was a very little bit of wiggle in the barrel rest. But, not a significant problem. I sighted 4 pistols, with 3, 4, and 5 inch barrels. One pistol has a laser sight on the rail. I shot two 1911 pistols with the trigger guard pressed against the barrel rest. Three of them were off a little bit. Now I know they are all accurately sighted in. I also have a Caldwell Lead Sled. That unit is excellent for rifles. It is steel; but still needs sandbags to hold it in place. This unit is a good value for the price and will do the job for you. I ranked it at 4 stars because of the lite weight. It would be better if made of metal with more weight. It still seemed well made and sturdy enough.

Wonderful inexpensive fantastic gun rest.
I am not an incredible marksman. I just purchased a 2021 HK VP9 9mm match and a new Trijicon SRO 3. I wanted to zero in the SRO red dot so I purchased the gun rest after looking at some YouTube on the Pistolero. The first few targets I threw away, this is the 4th target and it is ‘almost perfect’ and my wife was so surprised at 15 yards she was able to get a bullseye. With the Pistolero it was easy, fun and you can see the results. This gun rest is simple to put together, easy to adjust on the range, it did not get close to breaking and I did not have to make it more sturdy. Moreover, my wife and I had fun and she learned to improve her shots. In fact, we both think it is a better teaching aid than dummy rounds or lessons. My wife learned to control the 9 mm faster, worked on her trigger control better and she wants to practice with the PISTOLERO gun rest in the future. This is so reasonable everyone learning should buy one or anyone wanting to have a perfect red zero. We were both glad about the purchase and my wife is looking forward to practicing with it in the future. Absolutely a great simple and inexpensive purchase. We both strongly recommend the Pistolero and what a great name, my wife has come up with new nicknames for me! Get this inexpensive reasonable adjustable gun rest. This is 5*****.

Kind of Cheap Feeling
I knew it when I ordered it so I can only blame myself. I will look for a more sturdy heavier duty rest

Works Good
The item arrived on time, was packaged well, and work good for its intended purpose. However, it is all plastic and very lite weight and it will not fully replace sand bags, but it does good for a quick and inexpensive rest for a range application.

Makes zeroing easy
With this rest I can get your red dot zeroed in five shots or less. I love it.

Perfecto

Very solid
I love how adjustable this rest is and it is very solid. I’ve tried some other rests, more like sandbags, this one gives a very solid surface on which to rest your handgun when sighting it or when chronographing reloads to prevent you from destroying your chronograph.

Easy to use
Easy to use. Assembly easy. Works well. Base a little thin, some flexing. Reinforced base with two pieces of 1"x2"wood under bottom. I would recommend this product. I rated this product four stars due to flex in base.

Great value
Bought this to help sight in my S &W 357. It is much sturdier than it looks and did exactly what I required it to.

good value for the money
Good adjustibility. Not heavy enough to provide stable platform. Needed to add weight inside the bottom to make it more stable.
