I ordered these for a cultural reason: Japanese beliefs state that seeing an eggplant in the New Year is an auspicious sign, and In my parents household that is taken pretty seriously. So, surprisingly, we have a lot of eggplant stuff that is taken out or used at certain times of the year. Anyway, when I saw these, I knew I had to have them for my next get-together. I wasn't expecting that much, and I guess I didn't read the sales text that good, because I didn't expect three! But three come in the package and these are remarkably life-like, even down to the discoloring and characteristics at the end of the dried stem. Although I am sure these are probably all identical, they don't appear that way and actually lookk real and attractive grouped together. They look amazingly real until you get very close, they are no obvious mold lines and the painting is gradient and nuanced. They do need to be dusted but that's about it. They will never rot or attract fruit flies, lol. Anyway, greta fake food for a reasonable price and will make our holidays brighter!
