The board on the surface of the play area's thickness is about 0.6inch.

Where is the board made? Is it from Canada?

The board is wood, I believe it’s compressed particle board.

Does this size game come with traditional size (1 1/8") or tournament size (1 1/4") discs?

Initially I ordered a board and it came with the smaller discs. I was very disappointed since the one my son had was the tournament size. I returned it and got the more expensive one and it is beautiful with the tournament size board and discs. Spend the extra money.
