solid construction, outdoor cooking magic
The first thing to grab my attention was the weight. Very thick material all the way to the edge of disc. This is exactly what I was hoping for. Makes for even heat distribution and retention. Next, the size. As in the product description, 24" diameter, but until you have in hand, you can't fully appreciate the amount of cooking area. This is not your average cooking utensil that you throw in a lower kitchen cabinet. Plan for storage space.I followed the seasoning instructions that were included. Very similar to seasoning a cast iron skillet. Oil and heat. No problem.I couldn't wait to cook on this monster. I've never cooked fajitas, but decided to go for it. Success. Good even heat in the middle 10" of disc, no hot spots. Using the propane burner I have on low setting was perfect for browning up onions and peppers with just a tablespoon of vegetable oil. I moved these to the side of disc to keep warm while I seared the chicken and steak, again added just a little oil. I bumped up the heat to medium just before adding the meat and perfect sear and browning. I was very surprised by how non-stick the surface was on the first use. The meat sticks to hot surface immediately upon contact, but give it just a minute or two and it will release with perfect sear underneath. With the amount of cooking surface and the efficient heat, the whole cooking process took no more than 10 minutes. (1 lb steak, 2 lbs chicken, 3 bell peppers, 2 onions) You could easily feed a dozen people with this beast. Next time, I'll remember to throw the tortillas around the perimeter of disc for a quick warm up before serving.Clean up was easy. Again, similar to cast iron. As soon as I pulled the food off, I turned off the heat, I added about a cup of water. Let this sit while the fam and I enjoyed some the best home cooked fajitas ever. After the surface cooled, I added a few drops of dish soap to the warm water and used a chainmail scrub pad. If you don't already have a chainmail scrubber for your cast iron, for the love of all that's holy, get yourself one. Makes life a lot easier and you won't remove that non-stick glaze that only gets better with time and use. Wiped dry and added about a tablespoon of vegetable oil to coat all surfaces for storage.Very few negatives:Mine has a few minor imperfections in the surface, and I mean minor. I'm sure these could be easily buffed or sanded out and they did not hinder in the cooking process at all. Overall, a very smooth surface, much smoother than cast iron, but not exactly Teflon either. The packaging was not great. Because this thing is so heavy, I can imagine that some might arrive dinged or at least, a bent handle. Mine was flawless, so no complaint. Just a little note for the guys and gals that are packaging for shipping. Also, the entire surface is coated in a heavy layer of vegetable oil for shipping and I'm sure this does a lot to protect from rust, but because the packing/padding is wadded up paper, this paper is pretty well adhered to the edges of disc when unpacking. Just a little scraping and picking, cleaned up fine.Suggestions:Think about your burner stand design. Mine has a flat surface and because the discada bottom is rounded, it can be a little tippy. Best to have a burner stand with 3 points of support to hold secure.A couple S-hooks hanging from disc handles makes for great home for your spatula, etc. while cooking.I ordered the Newness Focus On Stainless Steel Wok Spatula and Serving Spoon. Perfect for this disc, long handles and the curvature of spatula edge mates nicely with disc. What else can I say? If you've been thinking about adding a discada to your cooking arsenal, do it. This is the one. Fun outdoor cooking.

Very good Quality. Great Purchase!!
I purchased this disco cooker to have as a backup smaller disco since I have a bigger one that I also use. It’s the perfect size. I also bought the lid for it to cover food when I’m done cooking so the flys don’t get on food. I’m very pleased with the quality and thickness of the disco. Pretty heavy actually. I’d buy again

Awesome Fun and Flavor!
What a fun, fast and flavorful way to cook! Read up on lots of different Discadas, and this had some great reviews. It is a 24” Carolina Cooker and was easy to season and set up. It is made in Brazil and of great quality. I look forward to trying all types of different recipes here in the Southwest. Highly recommend.

Fun pan to use
This thing is awesome. Mine was a little rougher than I would've liked but I just polished it a little. Works great over the fire

Exactly as described. Large and heavy.
This thing fits the bill if you want a large surface area and something that will retain heat after you properly heat it up. It arrived as described with the protective coating. You don't need to sand it like I saw in another review. Yellow easy off and #0 steel wool is your best friend for this task. It only took me about 15 minutes to get it cleaned. As for the metal itself, it does have a little texture to it but it's nothing. Lodge cast iron skillets have a rougher finish than this disk. Again no need to sand. So after cleaning I heated up on my burner, as seen in the picture, gave the disc a little bit of bluing and rubbed it down with my seasoning paste. Let it completely cool. So far I've only had a chance to cook a massive amount of vegetables in it. Zero issues whatsoever even with the potatoes. With care, proper cleaning, and cooking techniques. This thing will be just as non-stick as any of your well seasoned cast iron or carbon steel pans.

Will probably outlast me
I’ve used it a few times with a paella burner and it’s been great so far. I have a banjo burner I use at times as well but I like the fine control the paella burners give you indoors. This discada is large, well made and should outlive you.

What a fun way to cook - home and camping
Great product - heavy and huge. Takes a bit to get it clean and seasoned but a ton of fun to cook on. We have been cooking on just a single burner in our backyard for fun.
