Can this be secured to the wall to prevent it from being pulled over?

Yes, but it’s not good. It’s similar to the Velcro command strips to the wall and can be easily removed. Mine has come off already and I have a 11 month old who pulls themselves up on it. I myself, looking for another alternative to prevent it being tipped over.

What kind of screws are used?

2 sizes. A smaller phillips then a larger one but a flat head screwdriver can he used for those. Very straightforward instructions included. Easier than IKEA.

Only took a few minutes to assemble and it is nice and sturdy.

I needed something for the ever growing collection of my grandson's toys at my home.This is perfect.. holds a lot, easy access and sits neatly in a corner of the room. Being grey and white it doesn't make the room look like a toddler's house :) (been there done that, I now like a calm coloured room!)
