The wire and the lights is good but the switch not working

The fog lights themselves are nice and seem high quality, however, the wiring harness and power switch are junk. The switch was oversized and would not fit inside the factory dash location in my 2012 Civic. I had to file down the sides of the switch to get it to fit correctly and push in and out smoothly. The wiring harness was wired wrong, so positive was negative and negative was positive. The illumination in the switch does not work because it was wiring correctly, so having to install the power wires in reverse caused the switch illumination not to work. Since removing the entire front bumper was required to install these fog lights and the wiring, and I was already that far into the install, I was not removing the wiring, fog lights and reinstalling the bumper just to do this all over again. If the wiring was done correctly to begin with, this would have been a fairly simple install, but I spent a few extra hours trying to figure out the wiring. Someday I’ll go through the wiring harness and wire it correctly. Super annoying I had to do this.
