The One
We needed a new clothes drying rack to replace the rickety old one that came with the condo we recently moved into. We took a drive over to The Big W to see what they had to offer. None at that store. So I told my hubby I'd find one on Amazon.Holy guacamole, for being so scarce in B&M stores, there are hundreds of listings on Amazon! Difficult to find something sturdy that doesn't cost upwards of a hundred dollars. And there are lots of listings for thin, rickety drying racks. So I started looking at price points between forty and sixty dollars and found this.My husband's first words: Wow! My thoughts: Take it out of the shipping box and open it up. Ta da! Rods are about 3/4" thick. Sturdy, well made, no snags. Painted wood. A good size for us. It's never going to fall over, but folds up easily for storage. However, I never put it away because we use it constantly. We live on an island off southwest Florida. I didn't want a metal rack because the salt air corrodes metal so fast. Taking a chance with wood because of mold, but I'd rather take that chance. This rack is not intended for outdoor use, and you won't be using clothespins with it, either. Also, in this humidity, it makes little sense to try to dry clothes outdoors. Really. A bathing suit left outdoors overnight will be just as wet and clammy the next day. So will your freshly laundered undies, eww! This isn't big enough for bath towels. We use it for drying socks, ladies underwear, bras, all our microfiber cloths and towels, and bathing suits. Some things really must go into the dryer because they'd get mildewy before they dry on a rack. But it does help us minimize dryer use, and it's the dryer, not the washing machine, that kills your clothes. And it won't fall over or collapse. Two days ago, I had this thing loaded up with aforementioned items and wanted to sweep and mop the floors. I picked this up, wet items and all, and set it on top of a twin bed in our spare bedroom. It stayed up and not a single item fell off. When I was finished with the floors, I simply put it back. Solid as a rock.I would not waste my money on a $25 rack that's going to fall apart. I've been there before. I also wouldn't spend a C note on a rack because "plain" people allegedly made it. Nothing against the plain people; I genuinely like them. But that's too much money to spend on a drying rack. Here, in the middle, I found the best drying rack I've ever used, and I've used quite a few.For the money, you're not going to find better quality. Two wings up, and I give this the rare and highly coveted HB stamp of approval.

Sturdy with no mold
These are perfect for our home. We have two and we dry a lot of our clothing. We had two different types of drying racks and found we were experiencing mold on the rungs which was being transferred to our clothing. These racks are very stable/sturdy and the stainless steel thus far has not shown any sign of mold. These are more expensive than a lot of others, but you can rest assured that you won’t have trouble with mold on the rungs and that they can handle the weight of several items. My husband is 6’6’’, ergo his clothing is long, taking up more room and has more dampness to it than mine at 5’4’’. These racks do not wiggle around when hanging laundry. They fold up nicely and are easy to store when not in use.

Very nice but be careful
As most everyone says this rack is very sturdy, attractive and well made. However, be careful. The ends of the wood are very squared off and sharp. i nicked myself a couple of times (drawing blood one time) until I realized I needed to avoid the ends. Yes. it is a bit heavier than many racks, but that's what makes it so sturdy. This would be a pretty perfect rack if the makers just sanded down the ends a bit.

It’s sturdy
The media could not be loaded. I bought this rack to replace a 11 yo flimsy metal one. I don’t have a dedicated laundry and the rack has to remain in the kitchen next to the island or on my sunny deck (summertime) . I use it for drying clothes as well as for drying my bamboo cutting board or containers. I needed a small rack. I searched high and low for a foldable and contractable one as my old one — no such a luck. This one is foldable but not contractable. It’s is a sturdy rack and it will stand some weight. The bars to hang clothes are thick and it’s going to be difficult to have the clothes pin to go around them to hold the clothes. My deck is very windy and I need to secure small items. Keep in mind you will need to pin clothes to the side or get a big pin. I think this rack will last a long time. It’s well made.
