Perfect!
I hate the horrible plastic cones and was dreading having my dog spayed. My dog still likes to be crated at night and I knew the cone was going to make it difficult for her to settle. Stupidly, I didn't purchase one before surgery and we all spent a very restless, uncomfortable first night with the cone. The extra cost for quick delivery was worth every single penny and this coat is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I take it off for a while during the day when I know I can watch her. I was confused about the sizing when I was making the purchase and had to use other people's reviews as a guide to which size I should get. My dog is a smaller Labrador and I opted for the large size but probably could have got away with a medium+. It fits her nicely on the upper part of the body and although it is a tiny bit saggy around the back end, it is covering the wound and letting it breathe so is the perfect size. The poppers at the rear make it easy for toileting. The size guide on the packaging is very clear and it would have been useful to see that beforehand. If it helps anyone, the guide, which is based on length, is as follows: XXXS & XXS Chihuahua; XS Yorkshire Terrier; Small Maltese, Pug; Small+ Cocker Spaniel, Beagle; Medium Chow Chow, Poodle; Medium+ Collie, Labrador; Large Labrador, Boxer; XL German Shepherd, Rottweiler; XXL St Bernard.

So much better than a traditional cone - the bucket of shame
I was initially very sceptical about the thought of the dog wearing a onesie after surgery but it was suggested by one of the nurses at the vets who had used a suit on her own dog post surgery. It proved to be an Excellent option. The dog accepted the suit with no problem and we spent a couple of trial evenings before surgery making sure she was comfortable. She wore the suit for entire 10 day post op period and wound healed beautifully. She was only allowed out in the garden so the pink suit was very acceptable, I suspect if I'd needed to walk the dog in public the suits colourful appearance would have raised comments!! She was able to move round the house freely and even sleep in her crate as usual which would not have been possible with a traditional cone. The suit washed well and had practical babygro type fasteners for ease when she needed to toilet. We bought size large which was loose on our 7 month old bearded collie pup but this meant it was not rubbing on her wound so worked well. Well worth the money.

Fabulous
Labrador 12 years weighs 35 pounds (stocky)used after removal of three lumps on body . Fantastic no attempt to lick and all without the cone of shame! Like a baby gro you get used to putting it on as stretchy and sized for your dog ( go with their sizes). I realised after a few days no need to remove for wees and poos as shaped well! My dog loved it seemed to support the wounds too. No contest would buy again in a second to support recovery . Ps The dog is fine ! Just one plea other colours would be good?

Good product, just check sizing
This is a good quality product. I did measure my girl before buying and she was a couple of centimeters off the next size up, so to be on the safe side, i sized up, as she already had one that was too small for her (different make). The product i received was great quality, great design but massive on her and i had to stitch it up and adjust it so she didn't trip over the baggy back of the suit. So, if you think the same way as me, DON'T size up like i did. The suit is stretchy and if you go too big it will not be any good for a delicate, post-surgery dog, as they might get themselves in a big of a pickle. Stick to the sizing, measure their back and go with the chart. If i did this the suit would have been perfect. It does have buttons at the back to do up around the tail, 4 press-studs on each side. Pinning the back up for toilet time can be a bit awkward but doable. You can't return it due to hygiene reasons, so no trying on and returning at all! This is a pooper but at the same time understandable. Overall, a good product and stylish.

Not pink. But well made, soft and stretchy fabric.
OK, I guessed the wrong size, but in my defence, other things that I’ve bought for my little dog-she’s a staffie-never fit her well and were allegedly mediums (NB: not the psychic ones). So I bought this one and the medium, and the medium one fit perfectly. Pros: Great quality and very well made, no loose threads or stitches; It’s a jersey/t-shirt fabric and has been useful as we’re currently having a heatwave (6/9/2021); The ends that make the leg holes have sturdy press studs (we’ve adapted it for one of the cons so that she can go to the toilet); it’s got a tail hole. Okey-dokey, the cons: it goes on over her head, but it’s a recovery suit for after an operation-so she’s wearing a cone on her head; it’s got a turtle neck (remembered the word!) Just-why!? See previous con; there’s no rear access for poops and wees. She’d have to be a professional athlete to get a poop out of the tail hole; So how did we adapt it for her toilet needs? We studded both the leg holes together over one side of her back, but ensured that her surgical wound was totally covered; there’s a weird strap inside on the underneath, and the accompanying press stud is the other side of the suit. Ohh! Is that how you manage her poop/wees?! I guess I’m saying there ought to be decent instructions.
