I got this as a gift for my wife who teaches middle school science and she said her students really loved it. What a cool toy that brings science to a new generation in a fun way.

This thing is cool! It really works--though you may have to mess around with the nobs a bit, and some songs sound clearer than others. 8-bit covers of songs come out very well! The light up diodes are very cool, however they get hot to touch very quickly so do be careful. Overall definitely worth it, I've messed around with it for hours and can't wait to show it to my neice!

It did take us a while to figure out how to play the custom songs (the link is in the instructions which we ignored for way too long) but after we figured it out my dad absolutely loved it and was doing cool little tricks. It is VERY loud, you can turn it down but it still hurt my sister's ears just to be around it. Sadly you cannot play your own music on, it you can try to look up synthwave music but it just does not sound anywhere as clear as it does with the provided songs.

The media could not be loaded. Plugged it in, and there was a loud pop from the power supply, followed by a release of smoke indicating violent kinetic failure of an electrolytic capacitor. Couldn't even test the coil.Power supply is also non standard voltage/amperage ratings. Most things like this are going to run 12V at 5 or 10 amps. This one runs 48 volts at 2 amps, so it's neither easily replaceable nor is the coil able to be powered from a standard 0-24V lab grade power supply.100% do not recommend.For additional salt in the wound, the only return options are to either drive 50 minutes out of my way to a dropoff location, or pay out of pocket for shipping at almost half the item cost.

Works as advertised, just note the power supply is 48v NOT 12v even though it has the same connector. I learned the hard way and blew out a capacitor on another project by using the same power supply that came with the Tesla Coil lol.

It was great but stopped working in same day we got it.

I bought two of these and they are both amazing! The arcs are large, and it’s really fun! But I would recommend to wear earplugs, causeThey are loud. Worth the money, conversation ended.

My son loved it a lot it was the best.
