ArKay Alcohol Free Vodka Flavored Drink - Vodka Substitute - Since 2011-3 x 33.3 FL OZ Bottle Case

If you could imagine what watered down vinegar strained through a gym sock that's been worn every day for the last 7 years to run marathons tastes like, you have it here. What's worse is the assault to your senses begins even before you take the first sip. From the moment you take the bottle out of the box you notice something odd...particles floating around in the liquid. Hmmm...? Okay, maybe it's supposed to be like that?Next, when you open the bottle, you get an immediate whiff of, I don't know, old pickle juice and a wet basement?Alright, so maybe it tastes okay, right? No. I took one sip of it, walked immediately to the sink and spit it out. Right then and there I decided this was going straight down the drain. So, me, trying my best to be dramatic, turns the bottle upside down and I get ready to watch the vile juice quickly run out of the bottle, down the drain and out of my life forever, only to have to watch it dribble slowly out because of the stupid flow control thing on the top.Dang it! So I took some kitchen scissors and tried my best to pry the thing out of the bottle so I could pour it out quickly. I don't know if they welded that thing in there but it wasn't coming out. So in utter defeat. I took the bottle over to the sink, turned it upside down and left it. Ten minutes later I returned to claim victory, however, there it was, a quarter of the bottle left!!So I grabbed some real vodka and cranberry juice and admitted defeat.Yuck.

First: Smells exactly like vodka! Would I drink it straight? No... this product should be used for mixed drinks -- and it makes a really great Bloody Mary! Use your favorite Bloody Mary mix (I prefer Mr. & Mrs. T's) with a salty rim, horseradish, dash of Tobasco, pepper, celery salt, lime and lots of ice. My secret is to use half Arkay and half bloody mary mix. It does something for the drink that makes it taste more like a drink with alcohol rather than just a bland "virgin mary". I'm eager to try it with a Chi Chi (Pina Colada mix with vodka instead of rum). Second: The Customer Service is exceptional: My second bottle arrived with a loose seal and the bottle leaked a portion of its contents. A representative contacted me the very next day after leaving my complaint; couldn't have been nicer, and went above and beyond to compensate me. Since I read about a leaking bottle in a prior post, I hope that Arkay has resolved this issue. Also, it may have helped some if the egg carton box had been taped shut. Sincerely, this is a great product for those who can't have alcohol but enjoy a cocktail. I hope that Arkay will offer tequila in the future as Margaritas are a favorite of mine too. Thank you Arkay. I'm a repeat customer!

Unless you really black pepper, don’t waste your time or money on this.

My boss loves this vodka alternative. We’ve tried several other alternatives and only this one passes the test and convinces him he’s drinking real vodka.

Made mixed drinks. Tonic and arkay. Soda and Arkay. Everyone started coughing when they took a drink. Including me. Very disappointed in the taste as well. Peppery taste. Please respond as I have sent several e mails. Thank you.

Actually the closest non alcohol product I have ever tried.

First off, it’s an ok substitute for vodka but nothing like the real thing. Gonna be a hard switch.Secondly, it came unopened but somehow leaked in the box and onto my table losing at least a couple of shots of product which I wouldn’t be upset if it was cheaper but at $65 I expected better.

1. Product leaked all over despite having the safety seal in tact - another flavor I ordered did the same. It is a manufacturing issue.2. The manufacturer does not allow returns or refunds for defective products even in this instance. But Amazon took care of it anyway.3. It is NOT alcohol free! The primary ingredient is glycerol, a form of alcohol.4. What was left of the product smelled putrid. Can’t even imagine putting this in something you drink. Smells more like a rancid cleaning product.
