no it does not stretch. but the cut ends fray more easily than another paracord i used but is no longer available.

Q: Will this work for the cold steel kobun???

I dont see why not. What is a kobun?

Q: If I were to wrap a radiator pipe with this cord will it handle the heat well over time? Or it could possibly melt?

Best to replace the hose. This could work short term ( the hose is only handling boiling point fluid, BUT the heat from the engine could over time harm the cord.........it is nylon-based and is made to melt in open flame.

Works perfect for boot laces. Cut to length you need. I think it works best to strip out all the core fibers…they’ll pull out easily leaving just the nylon sheath. This makes tying the laces much easier later on. Once you have the the core pulled out of the ends have frayed a bit trim the ends clean once more and then take a match or lighter and quickly burn/melt the ends to prevent further fraying.

Not just for parachutes!

Werewolves 650 paracord is perfect for my percussion repair business. We repair Xylophones, marimba, and vibraphones, as the individual bars/keys are suspended and held on by cord. We also use it to repair hanging orchestral gongs which are surprisingly heavy. We chose this company as it was priced well, came in colors that we wanted (black-green and light golden brown), came in sizes that we required, and the availability, which was extremely good. The advantages of this cord for the job over cotton, is strength, and the ability to be “cauterized” with a flame to stem fraying, which makes inserting into the individual bars quick and easy.
