Saving Noah

Story will touch your heart
I really wish the language was a bit more poetic. Better language would have done justice to the story. But it's still worth reading all the same.

A sobbingly beautiful read!
There is a lot of mixed reviews on this book. I was hesitant to read it as many claimed it humanised someone that should never be humanised or it victimised someone who should never be treated as a victim. If you think that after reading the entire book, then you’ve definitely missed the point. Yes, there are major moments in this book where Adrienne is unbearable. Her point of view and love for her son is irritating but isn’t the reality that a mother can never get herself to hate her child? No where does she tries to justify her son’s actions but she does diminish it to make him less of a monster as a mother will always do, try to see the good in her child when the whole world is against it.This book has a really different perspective, it’s so fresh and new that I loved it. It had me hating, understanding and sobbing at the characters. Saying that this book sympathises with pedophiles is exaggerating, do I feel bad for Noah? Maybe. Do I feel bad for all pedophiles out there? No. Do I understand the kind of unfathomable sacrifice and strength parents have for their kids? Yes. This has to be hands down one of my top 10 reads of 2025.

mind boggling
I cried ! I had , I had fits of anger and anxiety and I battled with myself deciding how to feel about all of this while I was reading the book, and I am feeling lost and battered hours after i finished reading! I think i need therapy after reading this book - surely gives you lot to think about! Go read it (but not if you’re faint of hearts )

Changed my perspective about certain things
I knew it. I was right about one person. The ending wasn't surprising as it was very predictable. It's very well written, the emotions, the plot and the twist. Writing about such sensitive topics really needs some deep level of understanding and research. In the beginning i really thought the mom was very biased and was blinded by her love towards her son. But man she was so strong and in the end. It takes everything in your power to do what she did for her son.

is a gripping and emotional read that really resonated with me
The story centers around Noah, a teenage boy who confesses to molesting young girls. His mother, Adrianne, is torn between her love for her son and the horror of his actions. The narrative dives deep into the family’s struggle to cope with the aftermath of Noah's confession, exploring the impact on everyone involved, especially his younger sister. What struck me most was the emotional depth of the characters. Adrianne's internal conflict is palpable; she loves her son unconditionally but is faced with the reality of his actions. As a girl, I found it particularly unsettling to think about the implications of Noah's behavior and how it affects not just the victims but also his family. The book does an excellent job of portraying the complexity of love and the moral dilemmas that come with it.

sobbing
Never read a story like this one. It makes you want to save Noah from how the world treated him. This also shows the purest of a mother’s love

Noah life death questions
It shouldn't be so hard. Through it all, I don't think either of them really knew God. The God who forgives, who loves, and who walks with you through your pain...
