this is a beautifully presented, accessible and well researched book taking in the full historical sweep of thr Ukiyo-e genre. Typical outrageous Taschen quality, lavishly illistrated and just exquisite for its small size. A beautiful addition to my library.

Not just a picture book - more than expected in history & culture

I collect a variety of art books and this is another lovely produced art book by taschen. Reproductions are great and lots to admire of the Japanese artistry.

Thicccc book full of high quality prints full of ukyo-e history and details about the different artists. You’re definitely gonna spend some good hours with this one!

All good and great input into this

It's a gorgeous book but I got it for the reduced price of £16.40 and I'm now assuming it's because from pages 218 to 241 are mistakenly printed in German. I did wonder why it was so cheap and wished I'd listened to my instincts and got it from Taschen directly. If you don't want to risk missing out on all the information inside, it's best to get it straight from the Taschen website instead.Unfortunately, I'm going to return it. If I knew the reduced price was due to misprints, I wouldn't have bought it.
