Works really well to start fire
If you need something you can fill an air mattress, fill up kid's bloqup items, and also start fires, this product works well. It works really well to get fires started in fireplaces (you can close the door almost all the way to keep the ash inside, snake in the hose and pump away with your arm (vs with your feet like other bellows). Much more efficient than trying to blow with your lungs and breathe in all the ashes.

Great to have in the tent, for camping and many other uses
So, we used to use portable electric pumps, and while they work, this is just as fast. There are no batteries to die, no cords to plug into the car. If the air mattress goes soft, just pump it back up without even getting out of the tent. Obviously this works great for all sorts of balls, blow up pools, stoking fires, etc. So many uses here and with the dual action pumping it pumps in a hurry. It is life changing. The only downside for us is that it's pretty large, and takes some planning to fit in a packed car. But it is invaluable to us, so we make it work.I see other reviews on the pump coming apart, and I will say we don't use it a TON. Maybe 3-4 camping trips a year (and pumping up pools, etc.). But I've had it for 2 seasons now with no issues. Maybe if you were using it every day you would have issues - I don't know.

Great value
And works great on footballs, basketballs and toys.

I'm Pumped!
The last thing you want when it's time to jump in the lake or float the river is to spend countless minutes blowing up a tube by mouth or with aminiscule pump. This pump gets the job done right and quickly. Even for inflatable kayaks this would be one of the best pumps. Faster than the electric ones too probably. Moves a lot of air and has the right connections for different valve types.

Get some exercise and fill your mattress.
The pump itself is a pretty basic thing. The hose is decent enough to do the job. But what I did not like about this pump was the amount of time and energy it took to pump up a full sized air mattress. My son is 9 years old and has more energy than most kids. This puppy wore him out! Maybe I should have given the product another star for that. If you want a basic pump for a few weekend trips a year this is a functionally cheap pump. If you need this for a 3 week trek in Norway as I did, splurge for the battery powered models.

Great inflator for large items
I bought this because my "ball pump" style inflator did not work well for some large items like my son's inflatable pool. This works great for putting a lot of air into larger items like small pools, pool floats and air mattresses. My main knock against it would be that it does not feel very sturdy - I actually had to put it back together in the middle of using it the first time as the pieces became separated. Still, for the price it works well.

Most bang for your buck!
This was the cheapest pump that I could find that met my criteria. I wanted a pump that inflates on both the up- and down-stroke, deflates, and has enough attachments to feel confident that it would work on my kayak. Just in case anyone with the same or a similar kayak is interested, I bought this for use on my Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame (tandem) kayak. It did everything I wanted and seems durable enough to last me awhile (I've only owned it for a week but I don't expect any issues). It is big enough to not be a huge pain when pumping (smaller pump = more crouching and more pumps for the same amount of air), while still being compact enough to (tightly) fit it in the same bag as my kayak so I never accidentally forget to bring it along. It only takes a few minutes of pumping to get the (very large) kayak fully inflated and I'm a pretty small (read: pretty weak) person. Overall, I'm very pleased and would definitely recommend!

Intex doesn’t know it’s own products
I ordered a pump from intex to replace the one that came with their Seahawk two inflatable boat. None of the nozzles worked with the large ports in the boat. So I called INTEX directly to ask which pump would work with the model I had. After some time I was told which to buy, assuring me this would work. I returned the first and ordered the new one. It came and … you guessed it! The nozzles are again too small for the boat. SO I returned THAT one too. What’s up INTEX? Am I crazy or are YOU? You wasted my time. What do you have to say?
