My son asked for this for Christmas. I was a little skeptical at first, but his dog loves it!

The media could not be loaded. The Dog Pacer treadmill was incredibly easy to assemble, especially with the help of their step-by-step YouTube video. Our puppy quickly adapted to it; by the third day, she was confidently running on her own. On the first day, we used treats to guide her onto the treadmill, day two she was still a bit hesitant due to the sound and movement, so we used a leash to keep her on the treadmill. By the third day, she was running without any assistance. I continue to reward her with treats after each session to keep her motivated. We're very pleased with how quickly she adjusted to using it and the quality of the product!

Makes a weird noise when running. My dog is afraid of it because of that and won't go near it. People who sell it are no help. A lot of money wasted.

We really wanted to love this treadmill for our overweight, reactive 90+ pound lab. I did a ton of research and this seemed to be a really good fit for what we were looking for. I opted to order from Amazon, even though it was a bit more expensive, because many other sellers didn't allow returns and I wasn't positive how our dog would take to it. It's a pretty expensive piece of equipment to just gather dust if he was terrified of it.We received the treadmill on time and it was packaged well. The instructions were pretty clear on how to assemble and it didn't take too long. It's definitely not as "portable" as they say due to the size and weight, but that wasn't a concern for us because we planned to keep it unfolded and in the same area at all times. Once we had it all assembled we followed the instructions to make sure the walking belt was aligned. NOPE! It kept shifting to the right. We followed the instructions in the booklet to fix this, but still didn't work. So we headed to YouTube and the Dog Pacemaker website and watched several tutorials and none of the tips to align it worked. It just kept shifting no matter what we tried.They include a flyer in the box that says "DO NOT RETURN TO AMAZON" with information on how to contact them if you have issues. So, I tried calling the number and it went to a wrong number. I then posted a question here on Amazon hoping the seller would respond, but no luck. I then emailed the support address and waited a week with no response. So, we opted to return. Thanks goodness for Amazon!I am still giving this a 3 star rating because in general I think ours was likely defective and maybe something happened in the shipping, but the product itself seemed like a good quality treadmill. I'm also only giving 3 stars because customer service was non-existent - they include a wrong phone number to call and never responded to my email inquiries. I'm just super grateful I spent a little extra to order from Amazon than through another seller that doesn't offer returns or charges a large fee.

Overall, the dog pacer works extremely well. The safety key was not in the package. Called and informed the company. They sent me a safety key but, since there has been bad weather. Took 2 weeks to receive the key.
