We have not had this encyclopedia long, so I cannot comment on the quality of The binding or anything like that. But it's a great reference guide. We like that we can actually look up a particular alcohol and it will tell us all of the areas where we reference guide. We like that we can actually look up a particular alcohol and it will you give us the page number for the recipe for that particular alcohol. We've used it several times already and feel that it was well worth what we paid for it.

I'm not the one to go into detailed reviews but I cannot stress to you folks how great this book is. It covers the tools, the spirits (the classics and no classics), syrups and bitters, mixing, shaking and straining, and of course, the cocktails which is categorized very neatly. This really is the complete bar bible for new folks who are trying to learn and more experienced mixologists looking for fun new things to make. This definitely isn't your easily portable book as it's quite heavy, but considering how much information it provides, it's very much worth it.

Gift for a relative who has an interest in cocktail making

This was a great present to give. The book is huge and has sooo many recipes. I love that the book is divided by types of liquor which makes it easy to find a recipe when you only have a few ingredients.

I got this for a gift for my best friend's 21st birthday-- she loves it already and I immediately will be ordering another one for myself. Such a fun great gift and so many options to choose from (and super cute looking too!)
