This book was is worth every penny! It's 30% theory, and 70% actual ideas for in class, for projects, for lesson plans and more. simply awesome.

There are multiple ways to reach a student in different proficiencies. Take it slow and at your own pace. One unit at a time to differentiate, making it easier for the next year.

Actually, I had the chance to review the manuscript of the 2nd Edition and took a first look at Differentiated Instruction, A Guide For WL Teachers and let me tell you that Deborah Blaz did an awesome job again. The book is moving along technology and the additions they made are a perfect match for everything is happening in our World Languages classrooms. If you owned the 1st edition, you won't regret purchasing this 2nd one.

I bought this book to work on differentiating my units this summer. This book has been so helpful. I have already decided to keep it in my desk this school year so I can easily pull it out while lesson planning. It is an excellent guidebook. I did get overwhelmed reading it a few times, but I just finished my first year of texting and am still prone to stressing a little bit. It wasawesomw that Blaz (the author) didn't just dump a lot of strategies without any explanation or how to. She does an excellent job on providing examples on how to use the strategies in your class. I have already started working on implementing quite a few strategies. I was thinking of leading this book out to my department, but I want to be rlselfish and keep it for myself so I can use it 24/7.
