Product holds up well over time and frequent use. 5th unit just purchased!
Little nervous about the price when we purchased our first Grabo Pro Lifter. We just recently purchased our fifth. Those first couple are still in use and holding charge after 18 months of jobsite life. Like the rest of our cups, we try to take care of them in hopes they'll take care of us. We have outfitted a couple of them with the narrow cup (sold separately) to help with tight radius pieces of glass (place the long dimension of the cup opposite of the curve). Actually have used them as pick points on some large lites of insulated / laminated. In the end, they have been worth the money. Hoping the new ones serve us as well as the oldest ones.

Excellent Product, Concerned about Customer Support
These things seem to be everything they claim to be, at least as they perform out of the box. Unclear yet about durability and repairability down the road but they seem like solid German engineering and production standards. Customer Service North America doesn't seem to exist. Number listed in the product manual seems to ring someone's cell phone that never picks up or takes a message. Email inquiries never get responses.

It Works GREAT!
I have been using it to lift plywood panels, which at age 72 is not easy for me. The GRABO is a tremendous help. I was working with a sheet of 3/8 Doug/fir AC plywood, and it grabbed onto the A side, pulled the vacuum and would then shut off, restarting in about 45 seconds, when it had lost a certain amount of vacuum. After cutting the plywood down to 43x76, I grabbed the C side to carry it out and place it on rafters. The GRABO grabbed on fine but ran continuously. It never slipped. I also intend this for use with a small vacuum bag, and a Festool type board holder for sanding and routing.

Temperamental, loud, unreliable
The tiniest mote of dust on a fresh sheet of plywood will compromise the suction, leading to real sadness with a fresh sheet of 3/4" Baltic birch this morning. The thing is LOUD, like a cross between your neighbor's lawnmower a spiteful mosquito, and it cycles on and off constantly ā a massive distraction when concentrating on the work of moving heavy material. Not even my best-of-class noise protection, the NRR 23 dB over-ear cans that make swift work of my 3hp table saw and 5hp dust collector, were up to the job of silencing its ceaseless gurgling whine, which by definition no more than an arm's length away. Irritating from the getgo, and then unreliable when I needed it. I kind of regret showing the thing who's boss today by tossing it down a flight of concrete stairs, but at least I know I never have to see it again. Absolutely hated my time with this electric pest.
