I bought this little fridge to take with me on a camping trip that started with 4 days driving, then a couple of weeks of day trips. Took a little work to come up with a reliable power plan, but I got there finally. I LOVE THIS FRIDGE!! On driving days, I run it off my car’s 12v charger. Quick 15-20 minute stops don’t need additional power as it stays very cold. Any longer than that, switch to the Jackery for power. (I recharged the Jackery with the car’s 12v charger while driving also.) If the Jackery was at 85% or higher, it could power this fridge overnight. Anything less, plug into shore power.I tested this fridge in my kitchen a few days after it arrived to see how it would work. I turned it on to cool to 36 degrees and used a standard fridge mercury thermometer. Out of curiosity, I checked after 2 hours, only expecting to see the temperature around 40-50 degrees. It had already gotten down to 36 degrees!!!I followed immediately with a test to freeze 2 bottles of room temperature water: a 16 oz and 32 oz. The 16 oz froze before the day’s end; the 32 oz had some ice crystals but not significant. I left it overnight and checked in the morning—it was also frozen solid. I know this isn’t a perfect scientific experiment, but it was certainly sufficient for my needs. Beyond this initial test, I did not use this as a freezer on my trip, so I cannot speak to how it would work for that.I then took it on my camping trip and continued my experience in the field. I discovered that powering it through the Jackery 110 V outlet while driving and simultaneously charging the Jackery did not work for me. I may try it again another time but ultimately, it was easier to simply power through my car while in transit. I was highly successful with simply switching to the car’s 12 V charger during driving and switching to the Jackery 110 outlet when parked.While the Bluetooth app does provide temperature information, I was not convinced that it was particularly accurate. I was able to raise or lower the temperature using the app, but I did not rely on it to tell me what the temperature actually was. I used a wireless fridge thermometer which I felt gave me better temperature readings. The things on the top level are a bit warmer than the things on the bottom level but still within food safety ranges.I predominantly use this to keep canned sodas, water, bottles, and my food for the day chilled. It did an excellent job at that, and I was quite pleased with how it worked.I did experience some temperature fluctuation when plugged in to my trailer’s 110 outlet overnight. I found that even with it being set somewhere around 34°, it would cool off to around 28 to 30°. During the heat of the day, with it in my car during the summer time, I found that it would typically run a couple of degrees warmer than what I had set the thermostat to, but keep in mind that the car temperatures were often in the 110° or higher range when parked. I also found that running this fridge off of my Jackery overnight while it stayed in my car, it would run a couple of degrees lower than what the thermostat was set to. I decided that it was because the ambient temperature dropped significantly. With that in mind, I am satisfied that this fridge will work quite reliably as long as you know it’s secrets.As for its size and bulk and weight, I would have to say it’s a great little fridge for one or two people. I was easily able to move it from my car to my trailer even with it fully loaded. I am not a particularly strong person and cannot easily move my 20 quart cooler when it is loaded. this little car fridge was a little awkward, but definitely easily doable even when fully loaded. I usually kept nine cans of soda along with my lunch, supper, and a water bottle or two in it. I found it better to keep it overly full because it had an easier time maintaining temperature. If you have items that might go bad such as an egg salad sandwich, I recommend you put that towards the bottom, but not on the very bottom. Anything on the very bottom might freeze. The top layer did not keep things cold enough for food safety purposes. I tested this by moving my thermometer around within the fridge over a period of weeks. I was able to confirm that the bottom of the cooler is always a few degrees colder than the middle, which is a few degrees cooler than the top. The lid of the cooler is very deep which allows for taller items or an extra layer of soda cans. I found I needed to fill the cooler all the way into the lid area in order to keep it consistently cold. Anytime I removed a soda can, I replaced it with a can that had been sitting in the car. I put the warm can on the top layer. Typically these cans were quite warm, but they would cool off in a couple of hours, and I monitored the temperature, using my digital thermometer, and as long as I kept any food at the bottom, it continued to maintain food safety temperatures.Before purchasing this fridge, I read several complaints about how the area where you plug it in seems a little fragile. I would agree, but I kept it in mind while swapping the power cord from 12 V to 110 multiple times during the day over the course of the month I used this fridge. While I had no problems with it, I do believe that it is a weak point and will need to be constantly monitored.Overall, I used this fridge on a daily basis for over a month during August in the south. I primarily kept it in my car, and even when the temperatures were closer to 110° in my car for hours at a time, this fridge still maintained my food cold enough to eat safely. It certainly requires more work then an ice chest getting ice added on a daily basis, but it was a significant improvement over fighting to try and keep my food dry.If you are going to keep this fridge in your car in extreme temperatures, I recommend you find some thing to insulate it with. I had a roll of reflectix that I simply laid it over the fridge loosely while I had it in the car. I do intend to make a fitted cover for it when I have some time. Even without it I feel like it still did fine but sometimes temperatures in my car rose close to 120°, and I felt it wise to give the fridge a little break.In summary, this is a great fridge that will do the job, but you cannot just set it and forget it.

The first one I received was loud so I returned it requesting a replacement and fortunately received a quiet unit. Have used mostly stationary and with the power brick which is 14+ volts. It cools down to cold fridge temperatures in hot weather in less than 30 min. This is slightly faster (due to its small size) than my other larger powered coolers. I’ve never had any errors on the control panel but haven’t tried it for long periods in the car yet where voltage can drop below 12V when the car isn’t running and using the long cigarette plug cord (which can cause a big drop itself).It is less insulated than my larger powered coolers so it uses about as much power as they do even though it has less than half the storage. It is amazingly small and incredibly light though which are big pluses. The interior maintains a fairly consistent temperature throughout despite minimal insulation in the lid, because its compartment is so small. It tends to stay fairly close to a 3F range cycling on and off.I only use it occasionally and feel confident the compressor will last a long time because it doesn’t seem to work very hard and overall feels like a solid product.

Ive been using in my work truck for about 3 weeks and had no issues. I keep it at 30 degrees F and it has no problem keeping my drinks cold. I let it run over night in my work truck on eco mode and it hasn't killed the battery yet. It take about an hour on eco mode to cool down to 30 from about 75 degrees F. Works great. It does put out a high pitched sound when running but I can't hear when the truck is running. Holds 6 coke bottles or 12 cans but the cans are super tight and hard to get out. So far for the money this is hard to beat. This is an actual fridge with a compressor and not a thermoelectric fridge. The compressor runs on 12vdc and has a digital motor spinning the compressor. Ive tried on 110vac and it works just as good. No issues so far and the app works just fine. It only connect through bluetooth so if you move outside of range you lose connection.

We are planning a 6 week cross country trip in our 20' RV van and had great hopes for this little refrigerator/freezer unit meeting our needs for a freezer.On day one we plugged it into our solar power and it seemed to work really well--got to freezing temperature quickly. But as the day progressed the freezer started to increase in temperature, made a really funny noise and shook. We contacted customer service and Emma was prompt with her replies and provided suggestions.Unfortunately after following all suggestions for several days with no success it was determined that there was a problem with the compressor. The company suggested we return it and they replaced it with a new unit and a power source.Currently, the new refrigerator is plugged into our solar in the van and so far so good. We leave tomorrow for our 6-week trip and I will update with progress.Customer service rep, Emma, was very helpful and concerned. She replied to every email promptly and offered good suggestions (that unfortunately did not work). She (and the company) took full responsibility for the freezer issues and sent us the new unit in time for our trip.I can't totally recommend this refrigerator/freezer as yet but I can recommend this company.UPDATE: Refrigerator/freezer has been on for four days and is working perfectly. It is staying at a consistent 2°F. I was able to load several items into it including 2 pints of ice cream that are staying very solid. Again customer service was outstanding and I fully recommend this company and this item.
