I purchased these to replace the original comb-guards that came with the Wahl unit, because they no longer clipped securely. I almost purchased knock-off replacements, but decided to spend a little more for the manufacturer's product. These are a great improvement over the all-plastic guards I replaced. The metal clip is a game-changer. The comb-guards fit more snugly and securely than ever. No jiggling or movement. I feel more confident using the clippers now. I wish I'd had these years ago. The Wahl clippers are like a tank, and I don't think they will ever fail. But after 25 years, the guards were failing. When you replace, choose THESE! You won't be sorry.

Get these, don’t wait for the plastic clips to slip off. This will save you in the long run, they are so much more secure then the regular guards.

These are so great. Fit my Wahl MagicClips like a dream. Out of curiosity I tried them on my StyleCraft Rogues and they also clip on seamlessly! The snap sound it makes when they attach is super satisfying. Highly recommend.

The combs included in my initial Wahl kit were all plastic. Seemingly not much of a difference but for whatever reason these guides (with the metal that doesn't even touch the cutting surfaces or your hair) always seem to be much better and more durable. So IMO easily worth the modest upcharge.

These were intended to be replacements for some in a larger set. They work but dont fit in the container. I should have paid closer attention.
