It should as long as the pull up bar is secured properly and isn't damaging the door. I have not tried it myself.

I don’t think weight of women matter just depends what strength she is at to begin with. If she is new to doing pull ups and working work for first time then i would say the thicker the band the better... it will be best assistance. And I would suggest evaluate what strength the person has then go from there.
