Bought this for my 14 month old (because that's when it was summer in MN) and it's PERFECTLY age appropriate. 1st day he spent 45 minutes in the swing (prefers to push it now vs. sit in it these days... I think he just prefers the longer chain swings at the park... but his baby brother will enjoy the swing next summer). 2 weeks later his favorite became the Slide... 2 months later he can't get enough of the age appropriate slide in his backyard. Had 4 yr old and 7 yr old friends over who loved the slide, basketball hoop & table. Water table is perfect for messy bubbles & disconnects easily for clean-up!!Only concern: the top landing for the slide is incredibly short!!! Watch your kiddo & ensure they learn how to use the slide safely (climb the stairs, sit down!!) & have good balance if you plan to let them use this independently. We typically stand nearby the back side of the stairs and reinforce safety expectations since he's a little younger than the recommended age. But I will say this set is PERFECTLU SIZED for an 18 month old, possibly with a younger siblings who will enjoy a baby swing... I wouldn't wait for your kid to be older to but it.Best kid purchase of our summer!
