Cold SteelSaber, 32" Carbon Blade, Black Leather Scabbard with Mirror Polished Etching

I am extremely pleased with this gorgeous saber. All of the concerns I saw in other reviews both here and elsewhere have proven unfounded, at least with the example I received. The grip has a good feel to it, the etching is even and clear, and the guard does not bother my thumb regardless of the style of grip used. As a whole the sword has a solid build, but remains very nimble and well balanced. If you're looking for dueling saber you'll have a hard time finding a better option without spending a heck of a lot more money.

Very well built dueling saber and it will absolutely puncture anything in front of it so be aware. It however is not the best cutter but that is to be expected. Drills with it are slightly slower than a gymnasium saber but it is MUCH faster than a comparable cavalry saber of the light or heavy persuasion. I have a small collection of infantry sabers (Swiss Officers') and it compares favorably in handling with them. The infantry sabers are pipeback types. Thickness of this dueling saber is on par with the CS 1908 but it does retain a curve, shorter and is not as stiff. The grip, guard and pommel are very well made and it is quite comfortable in hammer or saber grip. The scabbard is leather and steel as also well done. All in all, 5 stars.

I wanted to give this sword (5) stars but, the first saber i received had these rough scuff marks on the bottom. As if it was poor finishing at the factory. I put in for a replacement and the one i received had a loose blade that would 'jingle' when you picked it up. So i just kept the first saber with the scuffs on the bottom and sent the other back. Not going to bother getting another replacement, as it will no doubt suffer from factory defects. I suppose i should be thankful that my first saber with the bottom scuffs was otherwise Great! So that's what i'm keeping.Quality-Control aside, this Saber is crazy FUN! It's very light but, with enough heft to still make effective cut & thrust attacks. I was worried the thin blade might be a bit weak but, holding it in person, it's still quite a chunk of steel in it's own right. The blade feels quite durable. And the weight & handling make it the only sword I've ever owned where i feel i could confidently hold my own in a sword-fight. It's so FAST & maneuverable, yet with enough heft to do great strikes. And it looks NICE! I really like the shell-handguard and the Rayskin grip w/silver wire wrap.It's a very stylish looking sword and feels great too. This is a GREAT buy and Recommended, if you can get one without defects.

It is very well made and nicely executed . The real complaint is that it’s shown in cold steels videos being pretty sharp but mine came very dull .
