As long as you have the correct drill driver bit, they're great!
Was a little surprised I needed a very special drill bit for this. Thankfully my dewalt impact driver set had the one I needed. The screws did not come with one. Also, at least in mdf, they would not self tap. I just created a starting pilot hole and didn't even have to go through both pieces and they worked amazingly well. Haven't had any split mdf yet, and they countersink themselves nicely. In the end, the only drawback is needing that tiny driver bit. Having had that, I love them! And knowing what I know, it is worth it even if you have to go find that driver bit to add to your collection. These are great screws!

the best fastener design i have used in over 50 years
In over fifty years of building buildings , furniture , and cabinets , this is the best fastener I have ever used. it does everything well. Holds the drive bit , starts its own hole , goes in easy , holds very strong , is easy to take out for adjustment or disassembly. Outstanding in all respects.
