Q: Do you have to lock it with a key to carry it by the handle?

Yes, you need to lock the money box with key to carry it, otherwise things inside will fall out.

Q: It doesnt come with instructions or a code. So again how am i suppose to set or change the combination?

Hi Jayde, sorry, the insturction is missing in the money box, the default code is 000, pls use this code to open the box first; then move the lock slot from posistion A to B; then set a new code; lastly move the lock slot back from B to A to finish the setting, any problems pls come back to us.
