Does what it should.I use it to turn yellow metal parts used on model making to black, works great every time.

Very effective on brass
Used this on some brass that I wanted to darken for a replica clock face. Applied neat with cotton buds it produced a lovely deep brown/black colour in seconds which seems to be lasting well.

Works very well, expensive when you only need it for a one off small job though
Works very well - blackened some brass very effectively in only a few minutes of soaking in a 1:10 solution. Not the cheapest buy when you only need a small amount for what's probably a one-off job but OTOH, I don't suppose the chemical will go off and it'll be there if I need it again. Don't be as stupid as me though, and soak your metal in a plastic tray, not an aluminium take out tray - it not only blackened this, but burned a thousand pin prick holes in the bottom ;)
