RUSTINS Metal Laquer, Clear, 125 ml (Pack of 1)

Good quality laquer, good size will go a long way, dries quite quickly,normally put two coats on for longer protection, can be used for a number of things, we have used to protect switches, sockets and handles, very good coverage on brass, leaves a lovely shine finish and lasts a long time before needing to reapply, would recommend rustins is a very good make

These products have worked wonders on my Morris Dancing bells! Previously used Brasso, Duraglit- a very fiddly process & they soon tarnish again. Not with this! Would recommend.

On our little boat, which is all teak and brass interior, this is fab for preserving the very numerous little screws and hinges etc. They are so diffficult to clean and refurb and once done, without this, you can expect to have to do it all again in no time at all.It’s been quite some time now since I employed this to deal with the problem of repeat tarnishing and yay... It works a treat!Tempted to try it on the brass portholes but not sure how it would cope with condensation.Very happy with it on the fiddly bits though!

Used this to protect a set of polished copper draw knobs. Was going to go for a spray on clear lacquer but found this and thought I would give it a go as I still need to make and protect some draw handles. I just used a medium paintbrush to apply and coverage is very good. I applied a second coat a few hours later and the finish is great. I would recommend applying in a well ventilated room although the smell isn’t horrible it is a little potent. Also if you intend to keep the brush after application you will need some thinners to clean it. Great product to apply and gives a lovely finish.

I have a pen with sterling silver accents that would always tarnish after a while, which drove me up the wall. Then I purchased this, applied a couple of coats to the silver accents - no more tarnishing! I'll be doing the same to some of the silver jewellery I own. However, be sure to apply in a well-ventilated room as the smell is quite strong.

This product is easy to use and covers well. Unfortunately it is not weather proof.After polishing and then rinsing my Son's memorial plaque, I coated it several times with Rustins metal lacquer. Within a couple of days in this awful English weather, the lacquer started to peel.

Excellent product. Arrived on time.

Just done a single coat and jug looks better. Applicator inclusion would have been better. Await long term efficacy awaited. Reasonable drying time
