The reception is excellent! I'm picking up all kinds of transmissions, that I did not receive with my old antenna. I have no idea about transmitting because I don't talk much on the radio.It's nice and compact/small, so no need to have a giant tall antenna on your car roof. The magnet keeps it secured well. And I couldn't beat the price.

Now this sucker packs . Once I connected I was receiving signal/ chatter and the magnet is strong holds well on top of roof .

I originally bought a more expensive antenna, and after several week of "debugging" it turned out to be the antenna. I bought this cheaper antenna and all was good. It even looked better being all black with no exposed chrome. This is a good buy.

Price was good, antenna looked great. Didn't work for me. Don't know if it was the antenna or radio . So returned it. Return process was great.

Very sturdy. A great magnetic base. The rubber base cover is great to protect the paint.

Cable is too short to run from rear roof of an suv to the driver’s seat. Needs at least another 6-8 feet. Have no idea whether it’s a good antenna, because the cable was too short to install it.
