Color and size are great
Great color and size. Worked perfect to complete centerpieces for my husbands retirement reception.

Thin but nice size.
No complaints for the price. The hide is thin though and almost paper thin.So thin, there is a hole in one area that probably happened during prep and cleaning. No chemical smells. It actually smells really good like shampoo. The hair is sparse in places but still not complaining. Keep this in mind if you need the whole thing for a specific purpose or project.Feeling a bit guilty but I did this to myself when I decided to fold it in half and wonder how big the goat was. From the pictures, it is clear to see it is almost the full hide.I've added a comparison photo laid next to a vintage quality sheepskin.Bargain for the price but I probably won't buy again and continue to look for secondhand hides due to Amazon's shady marketplace. I can never truly know the ethics on here. A bit hypocritically, I do enjoy quality materials. Fur, leather should last a lifetime or more if taken care of and respected.

A heavy stink!
Firstly it's a good hide. A few minor flaws and shedding from the edges. Removing from the package was nothing to expect. The smell filled the room. The hide itself is on the stiff side and a few areas around the edges had shedding. The smell was a bit overwhelming (like a chemical smell) but it is exactly what it says. A real goat hide. Not going to use it for what my intention was so I will only use it as a seat throw. In time I'm sure the smell will dissipate. The feel is like petting a live goat. Kinda coarse. It's thick with stiffness unlike rabbit pelts.I really like it and it adds to my other furs i own. The darkness of the fur creates a warm appeal for a rustic look.If I were anyone else that bought this hide I probably would have given it 1 or 2 star rating but I understand the process of how hides are prepared. The overpowering smell is why the 4 star. Will I buy again?Probably because now I have 3 other chairs for them. LolOverall, it's a nice hide but could do without the heavy stink. As a note, it does say to allow it to air out. 👍🏼

Strong chemical smell. Small tight packaging left creases.
Strong chemical odor. Tight packaging left creases and matted fur. Light wash in warm water and mild detergent. Ran through rinse cycle several times. Dried with no heat. Still has slight odor but not as bad. Fur fluffed and no creases. May repeat with odor repelling detergent and dry with drier sheets.

Not what was listed in the subject
Not antelope. Just a bit of goat. It sheds everywhere. Great if you are tying flies

Cheap and Poorly Packaged
Should have known by the price that this wouldn't be a good purchase, but the ratings were good and it looked like a great piece for a project I was working on. Arrived tightly folded (leather goods usually get packed rolled) and I have had a time trying to get the deep creases out without ruining the hide. Starting to think I will need to throw this out and get something that is a little better quality. Aside from the creases, this is certainly not good quality, the skin feels thin and dry. Save your time and give this item a pass.
