Q: Does the thermostat need to be removed from the wall in order to install this guard?

The cover is open in the back so the thermostat does not need to be removed from the wall. The cover is mounted to the wall with 4 screws.

Q: I need to order like 12 of these boxes all keyed alike. What part number do I use? It said it has an inner shelf I don't see it. What size is it?

The Honeywell website carries these at $18.99 and has an option to "click here to contact them to have all boxes keyed alike". It allows you to send an email to request a matched set of keys.

Q: I have a Versaguard cover on another thermostat (TG511A 1000) Will the key on this cover fit that cover or that key fit this cover.?

I think the key will fit a different model of cover. The locking mechanism is the same across all four the the covers I bought.

Q: Will this fit an older circular thermostat?
