Q: I don't see how these stay on and centered without sides. Can someone provide a picture of the "foam insert bar"?

The foam is meant to stop the Bottom of the cover from shifting and sliding forward, off the bench. It Sorta works... for a lil while. Until the elastic gets stretched out or deteriorates from the sun & heat. For the same price, get one that can be cinched, using nylon strap & plastic clips , for minimal cover shifting. Also, they and can handle more sun & heat exposure than those that use elastic.

Q: Does this allow for back seat air bags that come from upper side of the seat?

If your airbag is on the sides of the seat back, I don't believe it will be in the way. It's not a tight fit on the seat back as it only straps to the headrests. The seat base is a different story. I actually have to take the seat up to fasten the base. I'm not overly happy with this product-- it's not perfect, but it seems to be a way of temporarily putting the seat cover in place. I only use it on weekend nights. The zippers are helpful for getting the center shoulder harness out & usable or using the center rest if needed. The zippers work very similar to a jacket zipper. I had to return the first one I bought that didn't have it. I hope this helps. My best to you.

Q: is it easily removable to wash?

it is easy to wash and remove but its not durable quality i used but after some time its get some lines which is not looking good. then its up to you.
