Good quality and easy to install
Ran over my extension cord that I had place under my car so I wouldn't trip over it during a garage project. Put the driver's front wheel back on, backed out of the garage for a short test drive and "CRUNCH"...the previous plastic female end of my extension cord was smashed. This replacement was a good price comparable to my local big box store. Arrived quickly and was easy to install.

Extend the life of a power cord
This is an easy to use product that helps me to extend the life of a power cord that got nicked by my hedge trimmer. Thwre are no instructions. You don't need them but just in case, here they are. 1. Cut off the female end of your cord. 2.Disassemble the socket so that the bottom end separates from the socket. 3. Insert the cut end of the cord through the socket end you just removed. Insert from the side that does NOT have rhe screw holes. 4. Strip back the outer insulation from about two inches cof cord. Be careful not to take too much. The end of this insulation needs to be contained inside the socket when done. 5. Strip about 1/2 inch of insulation from each of the individual wires. 6. Use a needle nose pliers to crimp a hook into the wire ends. 7. Hook the black wire in a CLOCKWISE direction onto the brass screw. The white wire on the silver colored screw. The bare (or green) copper wire on the green screw. All wire connections are clockwise. 8. Screw together the socket halves. 9. Tighten the clampng connection at the socket base to tightly grip the power cord. 10. Test the cord.
