High quality, fun toy for bathtime
Very happy with this purchase! The sub is attractive and well-constructed with no unfinished edges or other evidence of overtly cheap production. It is self-balancing by taking on water as ballast to ensure it stays upright in the water. At the same time it drains itself when lifted out of the water. The pull-string works well to wind the propeller and it does power itself forward in the water.Pretty impressed with how intricate the design is for the price! It's an excellent bath toy - personally recommended.

My toddler loves it.
I got this for my kiddo to play with it the tub. He actually much prefers to play with it out of the tub which is fine. It has been standing up to being tossed around and having it's string pulled so much that it should have broken by now, but hasn't yet. It is quite loud when being used out of the water, but in the tub it's much more quiet and actually works well scooting along with the propeller. Neat bath toy in or out of the tub, he likes it.

Tries to sink
A little disappointed. Very cute. Seems well made. Put it in a plastic pool with my grandson. The string is not very long so it isn't powered very long. The monkey seemed to be trying to sink or nose dive. It's an okay toy to play with your imagination but the mechanics are disappointing.

Cutest of the bath toys I bought to gift my 2 year old granddaughter.
Well worth the price. Stands out among other bath toys because of its classic look- CuriousGeorge- and retro build - pull the large red ring to make the sub run through the water . Plus , she also got a water table for her bday , so this will have a dual role , days in the water tub and evenings in her bath tub!

Great quality
I bought this for my one year old and kind of expected it to be a little cheep like most plastic toys but its not. The quality surprised me. It feels very solid. The pull string and mechanism feel like they will hold up to lots of play. It is slow but moves pretty well in the water provided it is deep enough. It is sealed so no water gets in where it can mold. The only openings are channels to allow it to sink then float again and these dry quickly so no nasty mold. This would make a great gift for little ones who love baths.
