what is the actual item weight? in the description says 2.2 pounds but then in the Q&A somebody stated over 10pounds, please

This Radio Flyer Roadster is very solid and sturdy. The red body is metal, the grill is plastic. The wheels are metal with rubber tires. I have been very impressed with the quality and how well it has lasted. I purchased this eighteen months ago, so I don't know if the current model has gotten cheep! My scale says it is 10.68 pounds!!

Is there a storage compartment under the seat?

There is no storage. The seat does not come off. Also be aware that it is mostly plastic and I expected it to be metal for the price but it is not metal. Very small, very very small! My child who is 2 years old and about 25 lbs barely fits on it and he struggles to push himself as there is no where to place his feet once he has us he’s himself.

What are the materials made of?

The description tells you. Steel body real rubber tires. Not sure what the grill is made of but its very sturdy.
