Hello，lytown tape measure is very accurate. And It comes with an extra tape that can be used to measure other things.

Q: Does this have a tenaion feature for consistency in measurements?

Yes it does but in order for it to work right the end of the tape should fit more securely in opposite hole that was made for it.

Q: How come the tape doesn't have 16/16 in? There are only 8/8in between the inches

I don't know why it doesn't go down to the 16ths of an inch, but it works great for me.
