Indestructible and Highly Recommended
The Osprey Daylite Plus was my go-to backpack until I decided to go a little bigger with the Osprey Talon 22L. I used it for shorter day hikes. I overpacked it, carried too much weight with it, dropped it, stepped on it, napped on it, used it in extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, snow, sleet and overall pretty much abused it.The backpack in the pics has about 500 very rough miles on it and shows little sign of wear. I think it’s indestructible. It isn’t waterproof, although it does perform well in the rain, snow, etc…but consider getting a rain cover or use dry bags. It doesn’t have a real hip belt, just straps, but you probably won’t need one. I never used the hip straps on this pack, and I didn’t miss having them. It is comfortable to carry without them. The divided pockets in the front compartment are a nice touch. It is a smaller backpack, but can more than likely carry everything you want to carry on day hikes, especially if you pack lite. Worth the money and will seemingly last forever. I highly recommend the highly durable Daylite Plus.

Osprey quality
Really like this backpack by Osprey. Perfect size for my planned use. Nothing to do with the pack, but Amazon really disappointed with the packaging. Or, I should say lack of. The pack was shipped in the manufacturer’s clear plastic bag and one end of the bag wasn’t even sealed. It’s a wonder the pack stayed in the bag during transit. I’ve been an Amazon account holder and I’ve never seen this poor level of shipping before. Really disappointed. Thank goodness the pack wasn’t damaged or soiled.

Osprey for the win.
I was looking for a medium-sized backpack that would hold my 13" MacBook Pro, a notebook, a book, and a few other things. I'm a writer--I like to get out of the house and write at a coffee shop. This Osprey carries everything I need. It's comfortable and I even like the "extra" open compartment. Great for a paperback or anything else I want to reach easily. I've tried other brands, including North Face, but this meets my needs the best.

I love the color red! Osprey is high-quality
This is such a great size for traveling. I’m actually gonna buy a smaller one though because I don’t travel with a laptop or anything but the color of this one is so awesome that I’m going to keep it! Osprey is a high-quality brand and I have a number of their products. Recommended for sure!

Osprey day pack
Nice size day pack only issues is the straps are only about 3/4 inch wide not very good for hiking they cut into your shoulders . Best use would be as a commuter back for iPad .

Perfec Travel Companion – Survived 14 Days in Japan
I took this backpack with me on a 14-day trip to Japan, and it was absolutely perfect. Lightweight, super comfortable to wear all day, and surprisingly roomy for its size. I used it as my daypack for everything from city exploring to short hikes, and it held up like a champ. The organization pockets were really useful for keeping my passport, chargers, and snacks easy to access, and the back panel ventilation was a lifesaver in the humid weather. It fit under airplane seats easily, too.If you're looking for a reliable, well-designed backpack for travel or daily use, this one’s a winner. Would 100% take it on my next trip!

Great backpack for lighter travel
Great size for travel, day bag and my necessities for carrying on luggage. Shoulder issue so can’t overpack and make it too heavy. Nice color.

Well made durable pack
Ospreys are great packs - some say a bit heavy for their capacity, but I'll trade ounces for durability. I got this as a companion day pack for my Farpoint 80l. It attaches nicely to loops on the Farpoint. This is a basic "napsack" meaning no frame, no padded hip belt, and minimal padding, so you really don't want more than 15lbs in it. At that weight this is a comfortable pack. I love the sunburst orange I was able to find. Seems the color is discontinued and there was quite a discount on it.
