You can label it, which can then be found in the find my app. For example, I have an AirTag on my bike and a buddy of mine use the bike for a little bit. In the app, you can set the device or whatever the AirTag is attached to as lost. As long as it is within range of another Apple device, it can connect to it and use its GPS to send signals so you can track it.Battery life: have used the AirTags about six months now and still going strong. Very easy to change out the button cell battery highly recommend getting a lithium ion for longer battery life.Speaker: one of the options when trying to find the device, the AirTag is attached to as utilizing a speaker. Compared to other products on the market, this is probably the quietest speaker which makes it hard to locate at a distance. Especially if this is in a wallet, the sound is severely muted compared to other wallet, friendly devices that are on the market.Overall: despite Apple’s history of proprietary use, these AirTags are highly serviceable and useful when tracking down lost items. You were able to pinpoint the location of the item using the app, there are new features (software related) Which don’t require manual updates compared to other devices. Highly recommend to anyone who throws their keys and wallet into the void.

I bought these on recommendation that I put them in my checked luggage. They do not use lithium so are safe. I’m glad I did. They left one bag behind in Phoenix. I was able to show them in San Antonio that my bag was still in terminal 4 in Phoenix. They found it while we were at the counter and put it on the next plane so I had it that night. I put one in my purse, had my daughter put one on the bottom of her scooter she uses on campus, and my son in his wallet he’s always losing. I have one extra (somewhere) that I’m going to put in my car. They aren’t expensive, but are quite convenient and can really help you.

Technically these should not be placed in checked luggage due to the battery. However when my bag did not make the transfer from Frankfurt Germany to Amsterdam, Netherlands the find my iphone app showed the bag in the Frankfurt Lufthansa baggage storage area. It took Lufthansa 2 days to "Find my bag". It did make it back to my house while I went on my vacation using clothes I purchased locally. great device. Remember to change the battery once every 12 months.It works by piggy backing off a passing iphone with locator service turned on. It relays the location to Apple's database. If no one with an iphone passes by it can't work.

These AirTags were a lifesaver on a recent trip. They were easy to connect to my iPhone 13ProMax. I bought a waterproof holder for it as well. On a recent trip, I attached a zip tie to my he pole underneath the suitcase fabric and then attached an AirTag in the holder. My first flight was delayed so I had to adjust my connecting flight, which also ended up being delayed by hours. I monitored my luggage through the AirTag which helped put my mind at ease knowing it was where I was. When I arrived at my destination, I was concerned that my luggage would’ve gotten lost, but I monitored my AirTag and it arrived without a problem.

Always misplacing my keys so I got these...the chime that plays while you search is not very loud at all and you have to be standing almost on top of your "lost" item in order to hear it! So if you are searching a wide area, you have to keep moving until you are nearer to your object in order to hear the chime. Additionally, the chime only rings for a very short time so you have to keep hitting the "play sound" button repeatedly until you find your item.

I chose this Apple product because I expect it to work well with my phone's features. I love that I don't have to download an app for the device to work. My phone immediately scanned for the tracker after I peeled off the plastic cover. I was able to connect the tracker to my phone in a matter of seconds. I love that the sound is loud and clear. I just wished that it lasted longer. The tracker is very precise.

Purchased the first set on a whim because I was concerned with all the talk of missing luggage lately. I made sure to buy keychain type holders to use in my checked luggage, carry ons, purse etc! So easy to I keep track of all during our trips. (fun to watch the suitcases move while at the airport from plane to baggage claim) I even had to use it twice to find my misplaced purse! It was hidden under a mountain of gifts to be packed! You can never have too many. Only had to change one battery in a tag so far after 1.5 years.
