can anyone tell me how tall these glasses are? how wide are they at the top? how wide are they at the bottom?

7-1/4 inch tall; 3-1/4 wide at the top; 2-3/4 wide at the bottom. I LOVE hem. Easy to hold for adults and children. Would like another set but they are too expensive. I hope you enjoy them.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes. The designs are etched, not painted. However, like any good glass, repeated dishwasher cycles may dull their finish, depending on the hardness of your water.

Are 3 year old wine glasses considered "older model"?

To be clear not wine glasses. These are tall drinking glasses. I believe they are the older variety. Pretty but very fragile.

Strong, beautiful, glad, not plastic

Strong, beautiful, heavy bottomed glasses. These are not going to break from an accidental tip over, they are elegant and beautiful, and the solid base ensures stability of the glass. I love that they are glass and not plastic, I hate how plastic looks, feels and scratches. The large size ensures I can add lots of ice, a full soda, and a bit of rum without having to sacrifice a bit of my soda to make it all fit (let's be honest, I'm not sacrificing the amount of rum). I just wish there was another set of 4 with different patterns to match the first set. Love these!

Beautiful!

Glasses came without a hitch! Only problem is they are filthy! Not from being used but from sitting in a warehouse somewhere, covered in a thick layer of dust and cardboard shavings.I love the design and weight of the glassesVery happy overall!

Heavy and sturdy

Bought these 15 years ago.....over time one breaks here and there. Bought replacements that were thin and light. These broke very easily and I was disappointed. Bought more to replace this time....these are heavy, sturdy, and are better than my 15 year old originals (still have 2 left). Fantastic. Love the style and now have the quality back.

Much worse than the previous versions of this glass set

Used to be good; not any more. The previous ones weighed 18 oz. These now weigh 10 oz. Likely to break just looking at them. Very thin. Really disappointed since I really liked the heavier ones.

well packed for shipping

I love the designs on these glasses but the rims are a bit thin and they can break. Especially in shipping. I was so impressed with the way they were packed for shipping - no breakage. Horray!

Cheerful and feels like quality

I am so impressed with these glasses. I have the matching stemless martini and stemless wine glass, and got these to go with. They are nice and heavy, well balanced and feel like such good quality drink ware! I like that each glass has its own design, so that you know what one is yours. They hold a LOT, so you can get a nice tall cold one in there. Now I feel compelled to get the other glassed items in the same design.

Nice glasses, but delicate

I really like these glasses. They are a good size, a nice weigted bottom and I like the subtle etched designs, but they are delicate. One broke last night just from the ice dropping into it from my refridgerator door. I will now have ice drop into a plastic cup and then pour the ice from the plastic cup into the glasses. Go ahead and buy these glasses, but be careful dropping ice into them.
