My first time trying this product, and my new regular brand. My bf has nearly a full head of grey hair, and mine is salt and pepper around the temples. Usually need to dye his whole head twice, and twice around my temples. This covered all of it once. I love it. You do have to buy an applicator separately, but worth it to me.

I used Natratint for a long time and was not unhappy with it. However, I wasn't crazy about how orange-ish it makes my scalp and I don't like the smell of Natratint, either. I was thrilled when I found Herbatint! It's more money but it provides great coverage for my very stubborn gray hair, plus it doesn't give my scalp a slight orange hue, like Natratint does. I use the 5D and the color is amazing. They recommend mixing with an N for hard to color hair (which I have), but I haven't had to because the coverage is amazing. My natural hair color had slight warm auburn undertones and the 5D gives it a rich chestnut brown color (no red or orange-red). I get so many compliments on my color! They don't provide an applicator bottle. The consistency is very loose so it's hard to use a brush to apply it, but if you're careful, it's possible. Every so often they run a sale and when I do, I stock up. I highly recommend Herbatint!

this color works better than what you get at salons! it doesn't oxidize or turn orange at all- beautiful, easy to use. i have cury hair and it doesn't seem to damage either.
