I recently purchased the 40-pack of BIC mechanical pencils, and I’m thoroughly impressed. As a teacher, I go through pencils quickly, and this bulk pack is a lifesaver. Each pencil writes smoothly and consistently, with no annoying lead jams or breakage. The #2 HB lead is perfect for standardized testing and everyday writing, and I love that I don’t have to constantly sharpen like with traditional pencils.The grip is comfortable enough for long writing sessions, and they come preloaded with lead, which is super convenient. The erasers work well without smudging too much, although they do wear down quickly with heavy use. Still, for the price and quantity, that’s a small trade-off.Overall, this pack is perfect for classrooms, offices, or families with students. It’s affordable, reliable, and gets the job done. My kids love these clicker pencils for school. These are nice bold colors and come in a large set for a good price. The lead is medium soft, but does catch a little on paper. They don't smear like regular pencils of this thickness and that may be why they catch a little when writing. In the hand, they are very light and requires more pressure to use. They are easy to use and refill by removing the eraser. These last a good while before needing more lead, but they aren't so expensive that you are sad to loose them at school.

These mechanical pencils are a favorite of my kids. They write smoothly and accurately, and can be used on standardized tests. As far as durability, the pencils themselves are pretty sturdy, but the leads are pretty thin, so be careful when pressing hard. The eraser works pretty well at removing anything that needs to be corrected.

Definitely a good value! Quality is perfect, Bic followed through again. No drying time or smearing. They are just good quality pencils. Nice variety of colors, good grip. Comfort to write as fast as you needed.
