Q: Can you power this from the receiver end? i have a device mounted on a wall sending(tx) hdmi to cat5 to the receiver(rx) in another room.?

Thanks for your enquiry. This item is a POC HDMI extender which only need one power adapter connect to TX is enough to support the whole kit working. The power adapter only support to connect to the TX but not support to connect to RX, so obviously it cannot power from the receiver end. Meanwhile, please using high quality Ethernet cable when using this kit to get high quality audio and video transmission.

Q: Will this work to extend hdmi arc?

I’ve tried all kinds of them and rocket fish used to make the best but no longer make anything. These extended work great for old receivers/avr but are non compatible with new ones so it really depends on what you have and how old it is. They said it would work with anything but when I upgraded my avr it would not work

Q: How do i change channels on extended display .?

Thanks for enquiry. This item only support audio and video transmission Synchronously, not with IR control function, so cannot support change channels on the extended display.

Q: What would cause a tv being used as a monitor to blink when using this product?

If you want to use your TV as a monitor, then your monitor needs to have an HDMI signal input port, and at the same time, your signal source also needs to have an HDMI signal output port. Only under such circumstances can this model of product help you achieve the effect you want.
