Colorist's Special Effects 2

Having invested in Helen's first book, I decided to put this one in my colouring vault too.There are some out there who would say that I don't need instruction in the art of colouring, however I do not necessarily agree with them and whilst this will not get a huge amount of use from me, it's one of those books that I shall be pleased to refer to whenever I come across something unfamiliar to me, as I branch out ever more into the realm of fantasy I think this will be a handy reference point for pushing me that little bit further. It is fair to say that there could be a small amount of repetition from the first book that has found its way into the second installment.I'm not sure whether the odd descriptions that appear in French should actually be there, they pop up less and less in the latter half of the book and are not consistent on each page which leads me to think this could be a proof reading mishap - if this is the case then I would expect more from a book at this price, it is slightly irritating, if it's intentional then I'm really not sure why. I would hesitate to buy a third if one is ever published.

I so wish I had found this book earlier. If, like me, you struggle to make your colouring come to life with shading, depth and blending then this is a must have book for referencing.

I love these books and do find them very useful. This one must have had a printing error as my index page was in in middle of the book and anything on the left side of the book was alittle backwards. Doesn't hinder me doing anything in the book in any way just found it funny 😄

I cannot praise this book enough. The tutorials ere so easy to follow and the results are just stunning. Even a beginner like me, will find that they can get a really professional look.

Just as brilliant as the first book! Lots more wonderful, easy to follow tutorials from Helen Elliston that are so helpful to colourists of any skill level, they've helped me so much! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to improve and enhance their colouring skills
