How can the straw be cleaned without using a dishwasher?

Hi there, To clean your straw, please make sure to separate every part of the straw and then soak it in warm soapy water for a couple of minutes. For the brush method, make sure to use our sippy cup cleaning brush and pay close attention to the mouthpiece and inside of the straw. The straw isnt allowing any water through even after sucking on it. Could this be a defective straw or are we doing something wrong!

Hi there! The drinking bottle straws have a bite valve, which means you have to apply pressure using your mouth or teeth in order to release the liquid, this is by design :)

Great but some improvements could be made to customer satisfaction

Had some similar cups to this beforehand but the straws were much thinner and my daughter was gasping after drinking as she was having to struggle to get enough water. These straws are much better suited to her needs and give more volume of water without the gasping. Give them a little squeeze before use to open the seal on the valve. One thing I would say is I wish there were replacements available - my heavy handed toddler likes to “post” her cup over the baby gate into the kitchen when she’s done and has broken the flip top lid, so now I would need to buy a whole new cup instead of being able to buy the tiny replacement lid. Bit annoying and expensive when the rest of the cup is just fine. Replacement straws are also same price as a new cup which is silly. Quite an expensive cup overall but I do like it, so I bought two to rotate them for washing/drying time. Just please allow for replacement parts!
