Small, but very tasty
Okay, so I have always had sardines in oil before, never in water. I recently went on the carnivore diet, so those were no longer allowed. I did some research and found these, and for a much better price than what I was buying at Costco. When I opened them, I was a little surprised. They're tiny, maybe 1/5th the size I'm used to, but there's also quite a few more in the container. The image I've provided shows how they look, but it's a bit less than what comes in the tin as I ate a couple already. For taste..... Unexpectedly delicious! They are extremely flavorful, surprisingly fresh, and very, very delicate. I was not expecting them to be this good or have this much flavor. So in that regard, I'm very happy. One thing I had to get use to is that they're a bit messier than the larger ones I've had. They fall apart quite easily, but that's expected with how delicate they are. Occasionally though, their little spines would dangle from them and that's something I had to mentally get past. Once I did though, I actually liked it. Nothing wrong with a little cartilage and nerve tissue. It's good for ya! So yes, there are bones in this. They're mostly undetectable, but on my first bite, I did get poked in the tongue with a rib. But it is what it is, a sacrifice for good health, am I right?Overall, I am so happy with these, I will definitely be buying them again. In fact, because I'm on the carnivore diet, I will likely have a tin of these every single day. Great source of omega-3's, plus a whole lot of other nutrients. I would absolutely recommend trying this product, and if you have an aversion to skin, bones, or nerves, try to move past it. They're worth it. Again, I cannot overstate how delicate and flavorful they are. Product of Poland, and I must say, Poland lives up to its reputation for good fish. Well done!

Fantastic!
These are as good as other more expensive brands, if just a tad salty. Great on crackers or toast points! Clean taste.

Delicious
These sardines are my very favorite sardines. I'm enjoying them very much, and I like the small size of the fish. I hope Amazon keeps stocking this particular brand and at this price because I will defiantly be purchasing some more of them.

Very tender
Texture is very tender; if that is your preference, these would be good. Not as meaty as other brands like seasons and wild planet. Fish were not mushed up at all and were whole in the can when opened. Overall good and very much a texture preference.

Great taste
With a little bit of hot sauce it makes a great salad.

The quality is there
I have ordered from this brand, I think, seven times now. I have always received high quality cans, only two single cans of which were ever dented, and the expiration dates have been consistently greatI have tried the lemon variety, and the mustard variety too, so I'll add some comments on them ---For the Lemon kind - It really wasn't that lemony at all, to a disappointing degree. They were good, yeah, but were kind of the same as the 'in oil' kind with just a HINT of lemon. I wasn't impressed, personally. But the quality of the sardines themselves was still there. 3/5 starsFor the mustard kind - These were really good. The mustard wasn't too strong or overpowering. But the sardines were ever-so-slightly dry (which is usually the case with any kind not packaged in oil, I guess?) They were still really good anyway though. 4/5 starsI've tried probably four different brands, and I think this brand is my favorite so far. Also, I like that they source the sardines from a more reputable areaI will say, this last batch I ordered seems to be a little saltier than the previous batches I got. That's not REALLY a complaint, though. But it is something I noticed. Again, I don't consider that a bad thingAside from being a very easy, very convenient meal, (I pair a can with some crackers or bread to soak up the oil) and I didn't actually know/realize this before, but sardines are a really good source of collagen. So, along with the protein and omega-3s and all that, the collagen is something I consider a nice bonusI really don't think you'll be disappointed with this brand. And the price you pay for the amount you get seems like a really good deal to meEdit - I have now also tried the Lightly Smoked kind. Like some other reviewers mentioned, I really couldn't taste any smokey-ness. They just tasted like sardines in neutral oil. So, 5/5 for the sardines, but, I guess, 0/5 for the smokey aspect since it just wasn't there (at least not in the batch I got(?)) The quality is always great with this brand, though, so that's something

Top quality perfection
I have been eating sardines packed in olive oil. Most have A LOT of oil. These were mostly sardines, some broth, and a little olive oil. I didn't drain the oil, as it was a perfect ratio to eat.Considering the top quality, in my opinion, the price is outstanding. I am subscribed and will be able to regularly eat sardines for better health.

Bland, soft, torn, fishy
I saw smoked and ordered this and was quite disappointed.I could taste no hint of smoke flavor at all. They were quite bland with a fishy metallic washed out flavor. Almost like sardines packed in water even though these were packed in oil.The fish were quite soft, almost falling apart with the skin separating. So a general disappointment. Not bad, just very blah.
